Lions club cleans up

The group took to cleaning the road in Margate Ext3.

Shelly Beach Lions Club filled five bags of rubbish in half-an-hour in Margate Ext 3.

Samantha Bentley of the Lions thanked the club members for the great trash pick up on World Environment Day (June 5).

Bentley said they wanted to clean up the river, but the damaged road/bridge looked too dangerous to climb down, so it was a roadside clean up instead.

“Wow there was and still is a load of rubbish. I can’t believe people can make such a mess. No respect for nature,” said Bentley.
