Golf day to honour fallen Saps heroes and support their children
Awesome prizes up to third place to be won, so join in on the fun and do your part for the community.
The Port Shepstone Country Club will host a special charity golf day this Saturday (21st) from 10:00, with all proceeds going to the Saps Widows and Orphans.
The event is not just about golf, it’s a day to honour the sacrifices of fallen police officers and to support their families.
Club chairperson John Beekman said the fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to stand behind those who serve.
“Let’s take this moment to give back to the Saps for their commitment and bravery. This initiative is all about supporting the children and families left behind,” said Beekman.
The day will also offer plenty of family-friendly activities, including a police dog demonstration, a riot vehicle display, live entertainment, and a jumping castle to keep the little ones busy.
Ugu District Commissioner Major General Sethenya Nxamagele explained that the Saps Education Trust plays a critical role in helping the children of members who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
“This trust helps secure the education and future of these children, easing the financial strain on their families,” she said.
Golfers and families are encouraged to support this worthy cause and enjoy a meaningful, fun-filled day at one of the South Coast’s most popular clubs.
