Conservancies unite for a day of snake awareness
Learn the truth about snakes and how to interact with them safely at upcoming local events led by top South African snake rescuers.
Munster Conservancy and Umtamvuna Marine Conservancy are not just names on a board – they represent a passionate community of people who care deeply about the natural world.
The conservancies are inviting the public to an exciting and educational event led by two of South Africa’s top snake rescuers, Nick Evans and Dr Carla Goede.
The first event will take place on Friday, July 5 at the Munster Sports Club at 09:30, with the second on Saturday, July 6 at the Port Edward Country Club, also starting at 09:30.
Evans and Goede will bust common snake myths, build community knowledge, and guide attendees through safe, respectful interactions with snakes.
Both conservancies believe that while nature can survive without us, our survival, happiness, and future depend on the health of the environment. By caring for the earth, its creatures, and our communities, we help build a sustainable and vibrant future for the next generation.
The conservancies encourage all nature lovers and community members to attend this eye-opening experience.
