Driver killed in Sea Park crash

Police have opened a culpable homicide case and are seeking witnesses.

Tragedy struck on the N2 in Sea Park after a 32-year-old motorist was killed in a collision with a truck last Saturday evening.

Emergency services declared the man dead at the scene.

Saps Southport has opened a case of culpable homicide.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward. Contact Warrant Officer Steve Lattin at Saps Southport on 039 6812366.

In a separate incident, Med-Evac reported that a single vehicle accident occurred on the N2 southbound near Umtentweni last Tuesday.

According to Glen Preston, the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to veer up a steep embankment, before rolling and landing on its roof alongside the road.

On arrival Med-Evac medics ascertained that the driver was a lone occupant and sustained only minor injuries.
