Festive atmosphere at Port Shepstone Lions Club’s fun day

The next Port Shepstone Lion's monthly market day and family fundraising event will be held at the Port Shepstone Country Club on August 3 from 10:00.

Families and friends enjoyed bonding at the Port Shepstone Lions fun day at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Sunday.

Denis Meyer of the Sheppie Lions said the day began with a 5km fun run/walk, where people of all ages participated.

Marietjie and Phillip de Beer support the initiative.

He said the Ross Memorial Bowls Day also formed part of the festivities, to celebrate the spirit of community and competition.

The Lions’ monthly market day also featured at the event.

Meyer said that over 40 stallholders sold local crafts, tasty treats, and unique finds.

It was a relaxed Sunday outing for the whole family.

“There was live music from noon onwards featuring Johan Potgieter, Jason Hartman and 4 Beats in a Bar. All the funds we raise go to charity,” he said.

The next Port Shepstone Lions’ monthly market day and family fundraising event will be held at the Port Shepstone Country Club on July 29 from 10:00.
