New municipal manager for Umdoni

Nonceba Kumbuza Dweba has been appointed as the new municipal manager (MM) for Umdoni Municipality, with effect from July 1.

The announcement was made at a special sitting of Umdoni Council last week.

Dweba has experience in local government through various management positions held in Umzimkhulu, OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo municipalities.

Her appointment in Umdoni is a fixed term employment contract, not exceeding a period of one year after the next local government elections.

Mayor Mbali Cele-Luthuli welcomed Dweba and said that council is pleased to have concluded the appointment of the MM.
