Tamil association elects new committee

The Port Shepstone Tamil Association in Andreasen Street elected new office bearers at a Biennial General Meeting last Saturday.
The association invites all to its annual Maha Mariamman prayer (porridge prayer) on Sunday, July 27 at 10:00. A special Aadi Pooram prayer will be observed in worship of the divine mother at the temple on Monday, July 28 at 17:00.
Offerings and donations for this auspicious event are most welcome. The temple offers a wide range of spiritual services to the community – book readings, prayer bookings, as well as devotional services on request.
Weekly services are held on Mondays at 18:00 and Sundays from 08:00 to 09:00.
Resident priest Guru JS Sharma is available for consults from 06:00 to 18:00 daily, and officiates at all prayers at the temple.
