R48.9m upgrade for Reynolds Street

The 11-month project is expected to be completed in April 2026.

The overall cost of construction of Reynolds Street in Port Shepstone is R48.9m.

The upgrade will join the R102, where a new set of robots will be installed, creating a new intersection, according to Ray Nkonyeni Municipality spokesperson Simon April.

He added that the KZN Department of Transport has not yet approved the new intersection, but it will be worked on at a later stage of the project.

The 11-month project is expected to be completed in April 2026.
