Invite to Maha Khumba Abishekam prayer

The Maha Khumba Abishekam is a 52 day prayer observed by all members and devotees.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramanior Alayam (Umbango Temple) invites all to take part in its Maha Khumba Abishekam prayer until October 26.

Main prayers will commence daily, twice a day, until this Sunday (7th) at 09:00 and 17:30.

The rest of the prayer will commence for 48 days with hawan, abishekam and service.

The Maha Khumba Abishekam is a 52 day prayer observed by members and devotees. “It is a sacred ceremony that takes place every 12 years and marks the spiritual rejuvenation and reconsecration of the temple and its deities. It is a powerful time for prayer, reflection and renewal – not only for the temple, but for the entire community of devotees who find guidance and blessings at the feet of Lord Murugan,” said Umbango Temple’s Cohen Pillay.
