Learn, recycle and clean up with Port Edward volunteers
Entry is free, and residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about practical ways to recycle and reduce waste.
Umtamvuna Marine Conservancy and Port Edward and Banners Rest Ratepayers’ Association will host a recycling information session with local experts Penny Ciastal of Redeemed Recycling and Nozipho Mtembu from Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM) Recycling.
The talk takes place at the Methodist Church in Port Edward on Friday, September 19 at 11:00.

The following morning, volunteers will gather for International Coastal Clean up Day at Main Beach, Port Edward from 09:00.
Organisers invite the community to join in enhancing the beauty of the coastline while helping to protect the marine ecosystem.
Bring a hat and sunscreen, bags will be provided. After the clean up, everyone is welcome to enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee and a chat at The Wreck Restaurant.
