Summer fest fundraiser for all ages
The event is expected to come alive with a diverse range of activities that promises to entertain the whole family.
The inaugural Umdoni Summer festival is set to take place on October 11.
It’s a new fundraising organised by Umdoni Christian Academy (UCA) and Umdoni Point and will be held at Umdoni Point Sports & Leisure, from 09:00 to 16:00.
Traditionally, UCA has an Entrepreneurship Day, Christmas Market and Family day all separately on the premises to raise funds for their various initiatives.
This year they are looking to collaborate with Umdoni Point to make the day bigger and better.
The festival will still include a Kids Entrepreneur Market, where young entrepreneurs can showcase their skills and products.

The Kidzone will be buzzing with fun games and activities, Make Your Own Pizza, and a jumping castle.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy pickleball, padel, bowls and an indoor triathlon. Fitness enthusiasts can groove to the beats with Zumba, line dancing and spinning.
Those who enjoy art can take part in a paint a pot activity. Other highlights include a Shavathon and hair spray for fundraising for cancer, a bigger market for vendors, an ice bath challenge and even a colour run.
There will also be music from a local DJ and a 4×4 car display. The Italian Club will be screening the 17:00 Sharks rugby game at 17:00. There will be a raffle where you can stand a chance to win a whopping R20 000.
Early Bird ticket prices are R50 per person. Contact the school to find out more about family packages. For stall bookings, contact Kelly Saint on 083 7773632. Proceeds go towards UCA initiatives.
