Ramsgate Spring Festival promises food and fun
With so much to see, taste, and enjoy, the Ramsgate CPF Spring Festival promises to be a celebration of family fun and entertainment.
The Ramsgate Community Policing Forum (CPF) is gearing up for its Spring Festival at the Lions Hall in Glenmarkie Drive this Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 onwards – and organisers say it’s shaping up to be the biggest one yet.
The festival has received overwhelming support from sponsors and vendors, with a wide range of arts, crafts and food stalls lined up. Food lovers can expect a true feast, with an array of vendors bringing something for every taste.
Alongside the stalls, the festival is proud to support local NGOs. The Lower South Coast SPCA will be on hand offering free rabies vaccinations, while Matla a Bana will provide child fingerprinting facilities to promote safety.
For those looking for excitement, there’s a tactical gel ball course, and an action-packed dog show.
Festival-goers can also look forward to the Don Ira Spar Group serving up their famous lamb rolls – always a crowd favourite – as well as a bring and braai with live music from local group 4 Beats in a Bar.

Ramsgate remains a sought-after place to live, thanks in part to its highly active CPF. While South Africans face daily challenges, Ramsgate stands out for its low crime rate – the result of countless volunteer hours and the operational costs of running the CPF office and patrol car.
Most expenses are covered by the Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP) levy, but sponsors play a vital role in keeping the CPF running.
To further unite residents, visitors and the business community, the CPF committee has launched the annual Ramsgate Spring Festival.
