Family fun day for nature reserve

There will be something for everyone on September 24.

TC Robertson Nature Reserve in Scottburgh is currently undertaking significant work on the grassland trail, reconnecting it to the wetlands trail on the right-hand side of the resource centre, stretching to Renishaw Road and down to the Mpambanyoni River.

This trail, last open about five years ago, will complete the network once cleaned and cleared, allowing all TC Robertson’s trails to be accessible for hiking.

Given the substantial costs associated with this project, members of the public are requested to donate to support the initiative.

The nature reserve is also happy to announce its upcoming Family Day on Wednesday, September 24.

There will be a potjiekos and best milk tart competitions on the go. Contact Dana Daniels on 083 2651029 for the potjie and 082 6227699 for the milk tart, to enter.

The Mongoose Tea Garden will be open and Winston Smile will provide live entertainment.

Children can enjoy the jumping castle.

Bargain hunters can browse through the stalls on offer at the flea market,

The event starts at 09:00 and there is no entrance fee at the gate.
