Mvutshini man wins car at opening of new hardware store in Margate

Amos Hardware opened with amazing specials and customers created a buzz.

Thulani Joel Songo from Mvutshini won a Toyota Vitz at Amos Hardware’s grand opening of a new store in Margate recently.

People who bought goods for more then R5 000 were automatically entered into the car give away, and 10 people were nominated.

Jaydee Janse van Vuuren and Katryn Else were nominees in the car competition.

A tray with 10 cups was presented to them and each nominee had to pick one.

Only one cup had the correct key and it turned out to be Songo’s lucky day.

Songo said he could not believe it that he won the car.

Winner of the Toyota Vitz, Thulani Songo in a jubilant mood.

He said he had been waiting since May when he heard about the new Amos Hardware opening its doors in Margate, so that he could make a purchase.

“I don’t know how many times I kept coming to check how far they are with the building and if they would open on time.”

There were also lots of prize giveaways.
