Ramsgate Lions host charity family fun walk
The event is a wonderful way to combine fitness, family fun and support a charity.
The Ramsgate Lions Club is calling on locals to get active for a good cause this Saturday (18th).
A fun-filled 5km family run/walk will start from the Ramsgate tidal pool parking area at 10:00.
This year’s event is all about giving back. Instead of a set entry fee, participants are encouraged to bring a donation of cash or goods in support of one of three local charities: the Lower South Coast SPCA, South Coast Hospice, or Matla A Bana, which works to protect children from abuse.
Donations can include pet food, toys and blankets for the SPCA; slippers, body lotion and biscuits for hospice; or teddies, toiletries, soap and colouring books for Matla A Bana.
The Lions said the event is a wonderful way to combine fitness, family fun and support a charity.
So gather the family, enjoy the fresh sea air, and help make a difference for these deserving organisations.
