Green Net’s new calendar to celebrate KZN’s indigenous beauty
Each month highlights an indigenous gem alongside a common alien invasive plant.
The Green Net has announced the launch of its fourth edition KZN Biodiversity Calendar, set to be released soon.
This beautifully illustrated calendar continues to celebrate KwaZulu-Natal’s incredible indigenous plant life while educating the public about local alien invasive plants (AIP).
Each month highlights an indigenous gem alongside a common AIP, with vibrant photographs, plant names in multiple languages and useful information on propagation, uses and identification.
The calendar also includes South African public holidays, special environmental days and lunar planting guides – making it both practical and educational.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about protecting and restoring KZN’s magnificent flora while inspiring sustainable living practices that respect all life on the planet.
Calendars are available at R150 each or R120 for bulk orders (10 or more).
The Green Net encourages residents, schools, and businesses to support the project and help spread knowledge about our local biodiversity. For more information or to place an order, contact 083 2667953.
