Join Birding Big Day at Bendigo Nature Reserve in Southport
Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars, chairs, crockery and something to braai for lunch.
Bird enthusiasts are invited to take part in Bendigo Conservancy’s Birding Big Day this Sunday (16th) for a morning of outdoor adventure and easy birding.
Participants will meet between 07:30 and 09:00 at the Bendigo Nature Reserve (at B-Cubed Guesthouse/Leka’s, corner of R102 and Hazel Road, Southport).
At 09:00, the group will move to the Umtentweni Farmers’ venue, where an introductory talk on birds will begin at 09:30, followed by a relaxed birding session.
Experts and members from the South Coast Trogon Bird Club will be on hand to share their knowledge, making this an ideal outing for families, beginners and seasoned birders alike.
Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars, chairs, crockery and something to braai for lunch. Tea, coffee, scones, and knitted soft toy animals will be on sale.
A donation of R20 per person applies for non-Trogon members, with proceeds going to the Bendigo Conservancy.
