Bendigo community food drive needs your help

Food items and toiletries can be dropped off at 6A Hazel Road in Southport.

This month’s Bendigo (Melville to Umtentweni) Community Food Drive is set for this Sunday (25th).

Bendigo residents are called on to support the upcoming community food drive. The initiative aims to provide much-needed food baskets to 23 local families, reaching 56 individuals, including single parents, pensioners, and households where the main breadwinner has recently lost employment.

Organiser Maggie Otto is requesting donations of fresh vegetables, toilet paper, toothpaste, sanitary products, bath soap, and roll-on, as well as non-perishable items including tinned food, macaroni, flour, tea, sugar, sandwich spreads, powdered milk, butter, soup powder, cooking oil and soya.

Items can be dropped off at 6A Hazel Road, Southport. Residents seeking more information or wishing to assist can contact Maggie via WhatsApp on 060 9365320.

Maggie emphasised that every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference to families in need within the Bendigo community.
