Prayer session in Amahlongwa provides comfort

Attendees were also urged to report crimes to the police.

A prayer session against crime was held in Amahlongwa recently.

“Prayers against crime seek divine protection, peace in communities and the conversion of perpetrators. The focus was on comforting victims, strengthening law enforcement, and fostering a society free from fear,” said Umkomaas Saps spokesperson, Captain Ranjith Rampersad.

Attendees were also urged to report crimes to the police.

The session was attended by various stakeholders, among them, Saps Umkomaas social crime prevention, Amakhosi, Izinduna, councillors and members of the Umkomaas Community Police Forum.

Umkomaas Saps station commander Colonel Samkelisiwe Favourite Mncwango thanked the roleplayers for their participation.
