Hindu heritage camp to inspire young minds in Marburg

Youth are invited to a Hindu Heritage Camp at the Shree Raam Narayan Temple.

The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh will host its annual Hindu Heritage Camp in collaboration with the Shree Raam Narayan Temple in Marburg on Sunday, August 16, from 09:30 to 14:30.

The camp aims to inspire young minds to learn, appreciate, and embrace the rich values, language, traditions, and culture of Hinduism through games, educational activities, interactive learning, and meaningful experiences. It will cater to age groups from seven to 18 years. Dress code: orange T-shirt (provided) and black pants.

Children will be provided with snacks and lunch and can look forward to exciting games, quizzes, and learning activities. Many prizes are up for grabs, and each child will receive a certificate of participation. Parents, make every effort to send your children for this educational programme.

Senior reporter Sugan Naidoo is a true son of the South Coast soil. He was to the newspaper industry born, his late father working at the South Coast Herald back in the days when black and white photographs were still being used. Sugan has been with Caxton for close to three decades, having started as a weekend photographer, straight out of school. He soon showed his skill in hard news reporting and has, over the years, added to his repertoire, with motoring now one of his important beats. He is always willing to go the extra mile, especially if it's to test drive a new vehicle. He supports the Proteas, Springboks and Manchester United.
