Sheppie High learners earn accolades in sport, culture

Super school news.

Port Shepstone High School is proud of its many talented learners who have received provincial and national recognition across a wide array of fields, both sporting and cultural. We appreciate them flying the Sheppie flag high across the nation.

This year has seen an exciting return to the sporting arenas and our learners seem to be flourishing. Last week saw a number of fixtures taking place: The junior boys’ water polo team played against Kloof in their very first game this term. They lost 11-6 but still played like stars. The 1st team cricket played against Southcity and emerged victorious.

The top achievers were Mathew Milton with a quick fire 46 runs and an assist by Dylan Dalton with 25 runs in a match-saving partnership. Excellent bowling from Minhas Ayoub saw him pick up four wickets, while being very economical. In the touch rugby fixture against Newlands, the 1st team girls drew 2-2 and 2nd team girls lost 0-5. The touch rugby fixture versus New Forest saw the 1st team boys lose 3-1 and the junior boys win 4-1.
