Bring Christmas cheer to St Martin’s learners

The aim is to give learners a scrumptious meal, a gift and an exciting Christmas party with many activities.

St Martin de Porres School in Port Shepstone caters for socio-economically disadvantaged deaf children, with many of them living in the school’s hostel

The school’s Intermediate Phase would like to bring Christmas cheer to learners by planning a Christmas party, as many would not celebrate due to their backgrounds.

Coordinator of the party, Kubashnee Perumal said the school is appealing for sponsorship, to help host the party and make Christmas a memorable one.

“We are hoping to to give our learners a scrumptious meal, a gift and an exciting Christmas party with many activities. We have 50 children in total and they are aged between nine and 16. We are hoping to have the party on Thursday, November 24.

“We appeal for cash donations, 50 gift bags, packets of chips, hot dogs or burgers, desserts, packets of biscuits, juices, gifts, sweets, fruits and anything that will go into a party pack,” added Perumal.
She said any assistance will be highly appreciated.
