Southcity celebrates Junior Primary prize winners

Learners were congratulated for having a successful year on the sports field and in the classroom.

Southcity Christian Schools Junior Primary phase hosted its annual prize-giving where the achievements of the past year were celebrated recently.

The Junior Primary choir entertained the parents and staff with an amazing performance under the guidance of Hermien Bornman and Tamlyn Gibbs.

Jill Sparrow, who retires at the end of 2022, handed out the special awards to the learners.
Each learner from Grade R to Grade 3 received a certificate for their academic achievements.

A special mention must be made of the following Grade 3 learners: Brooklyn Vermeulen who was awarded Athlete of the year, Cross Country girl runner of the year and the Junior Primary Sports Girl of the year awards.

Talan Roos who was awarded the Boys’ Swimmer of the year, Cricket player of the year, Boys Hockey player of the year and Sports Boy of the year.

The Top Academic Award was awarded to Liam Potgieter and the Student of the Year award was presented to Mason Aub.
The Junior Primary staff congratulates all the learners on a most successful year on the sports field and in the classroom.
