Pencil case donation to PS Senior Primary
The learners also learned that the pencil cases were made from recycled plastic.
The Pick n Pay School Club visited Port Shepstone Senior Primary last Monday, and donated pencil cases to Grade 4 learners, as part of its Back to School programme.
Shannon Naidoo and his team briefed the learners about recycling, and they also learned that the pencil cases were made from recycled plastic.
It was not just an exciting moment for the learners but also an educational experience.
On the sporting side, learners were selected to participate in the Ogwini Athletics Trials which took place at Suid-Natal Hoerskool.
Washe Mhonda in Grade 6 qualified for the second round on February 9.
Washe excelled and advanced to round three which was the Ugu District Athletics Trials last Friday. She placed third and received a bronze medal.
Another athlete who made the school proud was Bandile Thabede in Grade 7 who took part in the U14 Ogwini Athletics Trials at Suid-Natal Hoerskool and was placed first in the 200m race. Bandile advanced to the second round.
The swimming team participated in a gala at Creston College last Tuesday.
Both athletes and swimmers are congratulated on their achievements.
