Good sportsmanship award for PS Islamic’s soccer team
In other activities, the school hall was packed as learners took to the stage performing various skits, sketches and recitals much to the delight of the audience.
Port Shepstone Islamic school fielded two squads, U19 and U17, for the Association of Muslim Schools Soccer tournament held in Durban last weekend.
The U19 squad displaying outstanding footwork and excellent teamwork found themselves undefeated only to lose in the final. The team did not walk away empty-handed as they also brought home the ‘Good Sportsmanship’ award. The team is commended for their excellent performance both on and off the field.
The school hall was packed to capacity as learners took to the stage performing various skits, sketches and recitals much to the delight of the audience last Friday. Parents are thanked for their overwhelming support and learners for revealing their hidden talent with an outstanding performance.
Learners from Grades 6 and 7 visited Crocworld in Scottburgh, they enjoyed the attractions of the park especially the massive crocodiles, owls and eagles. The opportunity to hold and touch baby crocodiles helped overcome their fears.
Grades 4 to 7 were awarded for their participation in the mental Maths competition hosted at Louisiana Primary School a fortnight ago.
