Marburg Primary triumphs in netball

In matches against Keate Primary School from Ladysmith, the U12 and U13 girls won their games.

Marburg Primary School recently hosted Keate Primary School from Ladysmith in the Nambiti District.
They came to the South Coast on an excursion and played netball and soccer matches with local learners.

Thulasizwe Mkhize liaised with the school and the day was organised. Traditional items were presented by Marburg Primary learners which included Inkondlo/poetry, AmaNazaretha and Ingoma.

There were netball matches for girls aged 12 and 13. Marburg triumphed in both games, 3-0 and 8-0.

The learners from Keate Primary also presented song and dance items showcasing their talents. The 12 year old boys’ soccer match was tightly contested and finished 0-0. In the boys U13 division Marburg Primary won 3-0.

Thereafter members of Keate Primary enjoyed meals. The principal, Balenthran Gounden thanked Rubendra Moodley, sports co-ordinator, staff and the SGB for their support and wished Keate Primary well on their journey home.
