Sporty atmosphere at Izotsha

The foundation phase hosted their relay gala last Thursday with enthusiasm and determination.

It has been yet another busy week of sport at Izotsha Primary.

The following learners have been selected for the respective Ugu District hockey teams: U12 boys – Tyr Johnson and Gracen Greco; U12 girls – Casey Bense and Tommi Johnson; U13 boys – Tristan Eva, Jacob Steynberg and Peter Koegelenberg; U13 girls – Taylor Burmeister, Zia Jasson, Olivia Browne, Naledi Gumede and Jamie Mather-Pike; U14 boys – Reece Greco.

Tara-Jane Fink represented the Ugu surf team at the Grom Game Trials, coming first in heat one and second in heat two (finals). She made it through to the finals, which will take place in Durban on March 22 and 23.

The foundation phase hosted their relay gala last Thursday with enthusiasm and determination. For some, this was their first time swimming an entire length, a remarkable achievement that highlights their dedication and growth.

The intermediate and senior phase learners have been focusing on completing the term one curriculum and writing assessments.

The Grade 6 learners recently held a Mapungubwe dress-up day.
