Merlewood Primary equips young leaders

The programme targeted 'lead learners' – those chosen for their ability to exemplify responsibility, resilience, and initiative within their school communities.

Merlewood Primary was abuzz with energy last Thursday and Friday as learners from Grades 3 to 8 participated in an inspiring leadership course brought to them by Ignite Revolution.

The two-day event was specially designed to equip young leaders with essential skills to guide their peers and build confidence in their leadership roles.

The programme targeted ‘lead learners’ – those chosen for their ability to exemplify responsibility, resilience, and initiative within their school communities.

As the learners returned to their respective grades, they carried with them not only memories of a meaningful experience but also a renewed sense of purpose.

This course is a testament to the power of nurturing young minds and shaping a generation of thoughtful, capable leaders.
