DEAR Editor,-
I sympathise with people employed and travelling in Marburg, Port Shepstone.
I was recently driving on a road in the industrial areas of Marburg searching for a motor repair company, but landed up in a hole alongside the road.

The cover of the drainage hole had been removed many moons ago.
The left front wheel landed in the hole and I was unable to remove the vehicle, so I requested assistance from employees at RotoTank.
They kindly assisted with a forklift and removed the vehicle from the hole. Sincere thanks to the staff at RotoTank.
My question is how and when do municipality personnel inspect their areas of responsibility? This hole is a danger to pedestrians and vehicles.
What happens if the people who have to walk this road break or injure their legs?
I am disgusted at the operating structure of the municipality and their disregard for the safety of humans and vehicles in the area.
I hope the manholes and potholes will be repaired, and that all other dangerous obstacles are sorted out in the area.
