Port Shepstone police requests the public’s assistance to locate three fraudsters who have warrants of arrest issued against them.
According to Port Shepstone police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge, the men are Thabani Thobeweni Zulu, Tyson Jermaine Sathialall and Timothy Smith.

Mpinge said Zulu was employed at a car dealership in Port Shepstone around 2019 when he provided clients with his personal banking details for deposits instead of the company’s bank account details.
Mpinge added that Zulu was able to defraud the company of a large amount of money, saying that his previous known addresses are in Ulundi, Point Road in Durban, Hillary, and Tongaat.
Meanwhile, Mpinge said Timothy Smith of Port Shepstone is wanted for theft under false pretences. “He purchased livestock in Murchison on October 15, 2021 with the promise of an immediate payment voucher. He was driving a white VW Polo at the time and used the name Bheki Mbhele,” said Mpinge.

He added that Tyson Jermaine Sathialall of Phoenix is sought on charges of fraud and theft of motor vehicle.
“During October 2021, a Sea Park resident met an online buyer on Facebook who was interested in his Opel Corsa vehicle. On further communication, it was agreed that he would swap his vehicle for a Nissan NP 200. The buyer and seller met and documents were signed and exchanged. The new buyer of the Nissan decided to check the vehicle registration particulars since he no longer wanted the bakkie. It had been stolen in Umlazi. The vehicle registration documents were fraudulent as well. The new owner of the Opel Corsa then sold the vehicle to a dealership in Phoenix where it was recovered by police after the complainant opened a case,” said Mpinge.
He added that the investigating officer in all the cases is Detective Warrant Officer Muzi Malinga of Port Shepstone Detective Service. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the three men, must urgently contact Malinga on 039 688 1185 or 082 810 2622.
