Keeping Scottburgh beautiful

The campaign was launched at Scottburgh main beach.

The Keep Scottburgh Beautiful campaign was launched on Saturday last week.

It was launched with a community activation that involved a beach clean-up, the planting of 15 coconut trees, and the unveiling of a beautiful organic photo frame made up of driftwood collected after the April flooding.

In addition to the launch, the Keep Scottburgh Beautiful NPO placed two full-time staff in the Scottburgh CBD to collect litter and tidy the gardens along Scott Street and has also appointed full-time security to ensure the safety of all beachgoers.

Keep Scottburgh Beautiful chairperson, Shane Grant said: “I am exceptionally proud of the support and appreciation the NPO is receiving from the community. We have big ambitions which can only be achieved if we all work together and if Saturday’s event was anything to go by, I have no reason to believe we won’t succeed.”
