Dolphins book semi-final spot in T20 Challenge
The team eagerly awaits who they will go up against.
The Hollywoodbets Dolphins registered a third win in four matches when they beat Six Gun Grill Western Province by seven wickets to book their spot in the CSA T20 Challenge semi-finals on Saturday.
The Dolphins were at the clinical best with the ball as they restricted Western Province to 73 all out in a crucial match for the Dolphins.
It took the Dolphins 18 overs to finish the Western Province innings with the wickets being shared among the bowlers.
Daryn Dupavillon, Ottniel Baartman and Prenelan Subrayen all took two wickets while Jon-Jon Smuts bagged three wickets.
The Dolphins flew out the blocks with the ball as they restricted Province to 16 for three with Dupavillon claiming the wickets of both openers before Baartman dismissed Kyle Verreynne for four.
Lwando Tywaku retired hurt with the score on 35 before the Dolphins bagged another trio of wickets for just ten runs.
George Linde top scored for Western Province with 30 before he was the seventh wicket to fall, bowled by Eathan Bosch with the total on 67.
Within six runs the Dolphins have taken all 10 Province wickets with Kyle Simmonds coming in as a concussion substitute for the injured Tywaku
In reply, Grant Roelofsen finished with 29 not out while Khaya Zondo made 17 off eleven balls to see the Dolphins home inside 10 overs.
The Dolphins have finished their group matches and will wait to see who they play in the semi-final with three days of matches to go.
