The Department of Basic Education opened schools yesterday, January 18. The Fever asked parents to share photographs of their ‘rascals’ before classes started and this is what they sent in.

Hoping to make cool friends is Nkwenkwezi Omuhle Sigabi who started Grade 1 at Margate Primary School.
On her way to Grade 3 at South Coast Academy is the beautiful Yolanda Shozi.
Excited to be going back to school is Awonke Linda (left), Grade 7 pupil at Insingizi Primary School with Khethelo Cele who started Grade R at Insingizi Primary School.
All set for ‘big school’ is Thapelo Zindela who started Grade 1 at Port Shepstone Junior Primary.
Khethelo Yalo is happy to start Grade 1 at Hibiscus Primary School.
Asavela Hlongwa could not wait to start Grade 3 at Inyandezulu Primary School.
Happy to be back in school is Basanda Gambushe who is doing Grade 3 at Marburg Primary School.
Enzokuhle Cele is excited to start Grade 3 at Jai Hind Primary School.
Ayanda Mpanza is excited to start Grade 3 at Margate Primary School.
Ready to start Grade 1 is Ikamvalethu Mkhwanazi from Port Shepstone Junior Primary School.
Ready for Grade 2 at Suid-Natal Primary School is Tsholofelo Gcwensa.
