Be on the lookout for imposter detective
The public is warned that at no stage will the SAPS ask for money to process a case.
Margate SAPS warns the public about a man who is pretending to be a SAPS Margate policeman.
Margate police spokesperson, Sergeant Sibu Ncane said the imposter goes by the name of Detective Mokoena.
Ncane said the pretender is calling victims of crime and promising them to speed up their cases in lieu of payment.
“He also promises return of stolen property for a cash payment. The public is warned that at no stage will the
SAPS ask for money to process a case. Please be aware,” said Ncane.
