Netball teams battle it out at provincial champs

Netball teams from Ugu, eThekwini, King Cetshwayo, and Zululand competed in the competition.

The KZN Netball Federation held the KZN Netball Provincial Championships at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre over the weekend.
The championships included both male and female games. Netball teams from districts such as Ugu, eThekwini, King Cetshwayo, and Zululand competed in the competition.

In the male division, Melusi Hadebe from the eThekwini region won best shooter, while Sbongakonke Ngobese also from eThekwini won best mid-court. Ntokozo Mkhize from the King Cetshwayo District bagged the title of best defender and Zamokwakhe Kunene from the Zululand region was named the most improved player.

Sbongakonke Baba from eThekwini was named the most valuable player.
In the female division, Skhulile Zulu of King Cetshwayo district was named best shooter, Thobekile Mjaja from eThekwini was recognised at best mid-court, the best defender title went to Nolwazi Mathe from eThekwini, Ntombehle Shongwe from the Zululand district was named the most improved player while Thulisile Maduna from eThekwini bagged the title of most valuable player.
