Ugu karateka trialed and tested

The qualifying athletes will represent the region at the upcoming KZN Provincial Championships to be held in Durban on February 19.

The WKF Ugu Karate Trials and Training session was held on February 2.

Registered Karate South Africa dojos from the Ugu region were represented at the trials, which were facilitated by KSA Technical convenor, Renshi Brando Pillay as well as representatives of the KKZN Technical Committee.

It was an exceptional turnout for karateka from the dojos in the area and the qualifying athletes will represent the region at the upcoming KZN Provincial Championships to be held in Durban on February 19.

WKF Karate UGU region president, Shihan Coenie Vrey said: “Well done to all qualifying athletes, we wish them well in the upcoming provincial championships.”
