The former Marburg Secondary pupil has been called out by some on TikTok for allegedly body shaming women through her relationship advice. She has also been dragged down for allegedly only bashing women through her videos and not men. Some of her viewers on TikTok have also said that she only talks ill of women but she wants to be a woman.
Recently, Somizi said: “It (Nhlanhla) does not represent transgender people because no human can be this vile with their advice. It belongs to lucifer.”
While a number of people have criticised Ngaleka’s advice, with some going as far as being transphobic towards her, well-known television personalities have come to her defence.
Khanyi Mbau recently praised Ngaleka for the mature and calm way she handles the insults and transphobia.
Ngaleka told Fever that the transphobia is something she outgrew in high school.
“I comment about the dating scene, and I always ask? Will something I said be better coming from a square, a triangle or circle ? Or are you just angry because I’m the one who said it. Also, I always ask, is what I said false? It being said by someone else, then make it true? My content and advice is realistic,” said Ngaleka.
She added: “I am a professional matchmaker and a dating coach so I put people together. Matchmaking comes naturally to everyone but because of my success in putting people together, they have recommended me to other people and that is how my business has grown.”
Ngaleka said the negative comments will not bring her down, adding that she wants to be one of the main driving forces in the relationship scene in South Africa
“It is something I am getting very successful at, I have also managed to start my YouTube podcast and generate more streams of income from there,” she said.
