Ugu karateka excel in provincial championships

The group of karateka will represent the province at the upcoming KSA National Senior and Junior Championships in the coming weeks.

A local group of elite karateka recently represented the Ugu Region at the KZN Provincial Karate Championships which was held in Tongaat recently.

Ugu Karate President, Shihan Coenie Vrey said: “The Ugu Karate team is made up of students from affiliated karate dojos in the region and a record number of medals were received this year.”
The group of karateka will represent the province at the upcoming KSA National Senior and Junior Championships in the coming weeks.

Together with their Senseis Coenie Vrey, Grant Selkon and Frank Moodley, the karateka are hard at work in preparation for the national tournaments.
