Ugu approves revised R1.6 billion budget

An allocation of 4% of the total budget has been made towards the maintenance of the municipality's infrastructure.

Ugu District Municipality Acting Mayor, Mandla Chiya recently tabled a total budget of about R1.6 billion with an allocation of R1.3 billion to operational costs and a capital budget allocation of more than R399 million.

It added that in ensuring good upkeep of its infrastructure, an allocation of 4% of the total budget has been made towards the maintenance of its infrastructure. The Ugu district council approved the revised budget for the current financial year.
