Police recover unlicensed firearm in Hibberdene
Hibberdene SAPS arrested a 37-year-old man who was reported for pointing a firearm at Nkambeni area on February 27.
Police are commending and encouraging the public to continue reporting unlicensed firearms and persons using firearms recklessly.
Port Shepstone police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge, said this after Hibberdene SAPS recently arrested a 37-year-old man who was reported for pointing a firearm at Nkambeni area on February 27.
“Members followed up on information which led to the recovery of a .38 special pistol. The suspect was arrested and recently appeared in court for possession of an unlicensed firearm. The matter has been remanded to a later date,” said Mpinge.
