uGogo Ncayiyana from ward 24 will be the first to receive a house from the 300 units to be built.

In what seemed to be a campaign for the ANC for the ward 24 by-election under Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM), KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works, Ntuthuko Mahlaba, was seen in the area on Saturday.

Mahlaba was in ward 24 to launch 300 of the last 500 housing units of the KwaNdwalane Peri Urban Housing Project.

In launching the housing units, Mahlaba was accompanied by RNM mayor, Sikhumbuzo Mqadi, RNM speaker of council Zodwa Mzindle, and member of the KZN Legislature, Mondli Chiliza.
