Former Ukhozi FM radio personality, Mandla ‘Mr Gold’ Mdletshe will be the guest of honour at the South Coast Soul Session event to be held on April 1 at Zuri Beach in Margate.
According to the organiser, Thabani Mzindle, the South Coast Soul Session is going to be hosting a jazz evening, that is aimed at opening up space for local jazz artists and promote tourism.
“This jazz session will create jobs and stimulate the cultural scene on the South Coast and also contribute to local socio-economic development of local businesses and local artists. Our guest of honour will be Ukhozi FM radio veteran, Mandla Mdletshe, as a way of appreciating him and acknowledging the role he played in putting South African jazz on the map by encouraging the discovery and mentorship of local jazz artists and reviving the jazz culture by mobilising jazz clubs in KZN as a whole,” said Mzindle.
