It was a very busy long weekend for the karateka from Suid Natal Martial Arts Academy as they attended the annual ISMAA (International Shorei Martial Arts Academy) Gassuku which was held at TO Strand.
This much anticipated, yearly event for the karate style, brings together karateka from all over South Africa who practise Goju- Ryu under the ISMAA banner to a centralised venue for training.
The training included fun beach sessions as well as more in-depth, focused sessions in the hall at the venue. There was a lot of focus and hard work put in by all karateka as well as some added fun in-between.
A group of karateka from Suid Natal Martial Arts were honoured at an ISMAA awards evening in recognition for their commitment to karate as well as their achievements received in representing the style on the wider stage in South Africa and abroad.
