Something exclusive on the Wild Coast

Interior designer, David Muirhead was given a brief to create a practical, yet luxurious environment which optimised the space.

“Local people need to understand that the Wild Coast is not just a casino,” said Wild Coast Sun general manager, Peter Tshidi.

Tshidi was speaking to Fever on Thursday last week after they launched the newly renovated Salon Privé for high rollers at the resort.

The launch was attended by a number of TV personalities, members of local government, and other stakeholders.
Interior designer, David Muirhead, of David Muirhead and Associates said exclusive to Platinum and Diamond Most Valued Guests, the new Salon Privé exudes the feel of an exclusive boutique hotel.

He said the renovation sees a formal entrance lobby created for Salon Privé, which gives one the sense of having ‘arrived’.

“We have created a more comfortable table area, including a space for dining, and increased the size of the Slots area to offer an additional 15 Slots machines. The modern take on the exclusive casino space, gives guests the feeling of being onboard an exclusive cruise liner. Each Salon Privé is unique to its clientele, as we want them to feel comfortable in their surroundings. This led to Wild Coast Sun being very colourful,” said Muirhead.
Meanwhile, general manager Tshidi said they wanted to bring something, fresh and exclusive to the resort.

“Local people need to understand that the Wild Coast is not just a casino, it is a resort that has so much to offer and particularly now because we are busy expanding and upgrading our theatre so that we can host more shows and so forth,” he said.
