She said plans are to announce the winner at the main event (Hollywoodbets Durban July).

“Competing at this year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July Young Designer Award 2023, 16 fashion design students of Esayidi Fashion School presented their completed work to a panel of judges on Tuesday last week at Greyville Racecourse in Durban. Judges looked for garments and an overall look that is on trend and well-executed, with an emphasis on being beautifully dressed for a day at the races,” said Ntshangase.

She added that as Esayidi Fashion School, they wish their students the best and hope that the experience will shape their careers, build their entrepreneurial skills as well as contribute to the local economic development through job creation.
