Musician wows Idols SA judges
Auditioning for Season 19, Aphendulwa Nyezi a former Marburg Secondary pupil wowed the judges with her talent.
Harding’s very own Aphendulwa Nyezi recently bagged a golden ticket when she auditioned for the popular singing competition, Idols SA.
The auditions of the reality show took place in February this year and they were aired on Mzansi Magic recently.
Auditioning for Season 19, Nyezi, a former Marburg Secondary pupil wowed the judges with her talent and got a thumbs up from all three judges (Somizi Mhlongo, Thembi Seete, and Tabure Thabo Bogopa Junior (JR).
The judges hailed Nyezi for her ability to hit different notes and her breathing technique.
With her golden ticket, Nyezi will now compete in the theatre week challenge against the contestants who succeeded in their auditions.
After Season 19, the popular singing competition will come to an end.
In a statement, Idols SA said: “It is time to say goodbye. Eighteen unforgettable seasons. The history of creating stars and an army of fans. Will you be the last South African Idol? The farewell season of South African Idols, your last chance to live your dream.”
