Teams battle it out in Gamalakhe football league

The Gamalakhe Football Association’s games are continuing and local teams are battling it out to be crowned champions of the Gamalakhe Local Football League

Last Saturday, four teams battled it out at the Bhambayi Sports Field in Gamalakhe; Tin Town Football Club was victorious against Juventus with a score of 3-2 while Citizen played against Mthini Football Club and won 3-1.
Coach and league chairperson Thino Sbukwana said Last Sunday’s matches were even bigger as more teams played.

“Spurs played against Stivers and won 4-0 while Gunners faced Scefesimnandi and ended the game with a score of 4-0. Seven Stars drew 3-3 against Sunshine while Gamakhe Campus and Mighty Warriors ended their matches with a draw of 0-0,” he said.

Matches were also played at Bhambayi, U15 teams played at Candel sports field as part of the Gamalakhe Youth Development League.

Sbukwana said: “Archivers won 2-0 vs Citizen, Hotspurs 4-0 vs Better Boys, Target 1- 0 vs New City, All Stars 6-0 vs B Punters, Strivers 3-1 vs Rovers and Tin Town 0-0 vs Tiger Boys.
