10 out of 10 for Verstappen

Max Verstappen won his tenth race in a row at Monza’s Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The early form was shown by Carlos Sainz in his Ferrari, who started from pole position, but the Red cars in front of their Tifosi home crowd just could not keep the two Red Bulls behind them.
Sergio Perez was home second and Carlos Saintz third onto the podium.
Charles Leclerc made it a Noah’s Ark – two-by-two – in fourth place.

Next it was Mercedes’s times two in fifth place for George Russell, who drove very well to outgun his senior team mate Lewis Hamilton, in sixth position.
Hamilton did well to catch up to Russell, however.
Alexander Albon, who was quick all weekend in his dark blue Williams, was perhaps a little unlucky to only finish in seventh place.

In eighth spot ,also not quite up to his usual best, was Lando Norris in the first of the McLarens.
F1’s oldest driver, Fernando Alonso, was up next in ninth place in his Aston Martin and Valtteri Bottas brought up tenth position in his Alfa Romeo.
We move east now, to Singapore, for the next race on September 17.

This is through the streets of the city under bright lights.
With eight races to go, it looks like Max Verstappen will be crowned the 2023 world champion well before the season ends in Abu Dhabi on November 26.
