Beauty with a purpose title for Tarusha

The 25-year-old won the title after raising R30 000 worth of sanitary products for her 'Keep a Girl Child in School' campaign.

Marburg resident Tarusha Gounder bagged the Beauty with a Purpose title at the crowning of Miss North Coast KZN 2023 in Durban last week.

The 25-year-old won the title after raising R30 000 worth of sanitary products for her ‘Keep a Girl Child in School’ campaign.
Gounder was also placed in the top five in the pageant.

She thanked everyone who generously donated in cash and kind.

According to the pageant founders, Miss North Coast KZN is more than just a beauty competition – it’s a women’s empowerment and leadership programme aimed at recognising and celebrating the strength and potential of women and girls in KZN.

The Beauty with a Purpose titleholder has previously held titles such as Miss KZN 2019 and Miss Ubuntu 2022.
In August, Gounder was selected as a top 10 finalist in the Face of Gynaguard 2023 competition.
