World ice skating show awaits

The South African Figure Skating Association (SAFSA), In observing World Ice Skating Day, is urging the public to join talented ice skaters at the Galleria Ice Rink this Sunday.
SAFSA said in a quest to transcend boundaries and ignite the spirit of unity, it has embarked on a mission to bring together ice skating and ice hockey enthusiasts from all walks of life, including professionals, amateurs, beginners and total newcomers.
The association said World Ice Skating Day is not just an event, but a celebration of inclusivity, fostering youth involvement, and paving the way for the future development of all ice skating, and ice hockey disciplines.
It added that at the heart of its mission is the commitment to scale the sport and inspire the next generation to lace up and glide into the world of ice magic.
Partnering with ice hockey in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg, SAFSA has curated an electrifying day filled with excitement and intrigue.
It has extended a warm invitation to the public to join the talented athletes, witness their passion, and experience the sheer joy of ice skating and ice hockey, and stand a chance to win a gift in the lucky draws.
The event takes place at the Galleria Ice Rink in Amanzimtoti and starts at 09:00. Entrance is free.
